Scope Of Work
Balfour Beatty has also completed the CEP/Laundry and ED Ph I, Laboratory, Periprocedures Building and New Bed Tower. These projects bring the total contract value to $171,000,000.
The newest addition is a ten-story, 356,332 square foot bed tower that connects the hospital’s North and West towers. This innovative building incorporates the latest advances in medical technology and allows the hospital to provide even higher quality care and services for its patients and their families. The tower also serves as the new entrance to the hospital, with an easy-to-access, light and grand lobby and atrium. The project also included 40,000 square feet of various existing area renovations.
The structure is a hybrid combination of concrete structure for the basement to third level and steel structure for through ten. The exterior skin is a combination of precast, glass curtainwall and block.
