Our Story
There are many millions of miles of piping and utilities underground. Calling the One Call system, although required by law, only identifies a small portion of the utilities. Finding an unmarked utility with a backhoe can cause many headaches including downtime, emergency stop work, evacuation, costly repairs and possibly injury or death. No one will find every utility. A sad fact, but the technology simply does not exist yet. There are some non-metallic lines that have no or broken tracer wire and these are very difficult to detect. The use of radio frequency detectors combined with GPR and electro-magnetic equipment is the safest approach to find the highest percentage of utilities. Civil drawings are helpful but not always accurate. Using the one call system along with a competent 3rd party locator is cheap insurance against very costly headaches.
