Scope Of Work

Costco Wholesale’s plans were to move to a bigger location, just across their original location to make way for a medical office in their current site. The project includes 351,000 square feet of buildings on a 23.5-acre site between Crenshaw Blvd & Garnier St, to include also the medical office buildings, a gas station and car wash.

The new store will have 874 parking spaces, 113 more than the current one, which is plagued with parking shortages on Saturdays and other busy times. Another 355 parking spaces will be built for the medical offices.

Our company was subcontracted to provide the traffic signal implementation and build a brand new intersection, which required traffic signal poles installed on every corner and phased control to maintain the immense amount of public and traffic these locations would encounter once opened.

Our system included video detection & opticom GPS systems, as well as audible push buttons to meet ADA compliance and Opticom’s GPS System leverages highly secure radio communications to help emergency responders move through intersections more quickly and safely. The RZ-4 camera video detection is optimized for traffic detection to handle extremes in light and dark and severe glare conditions even in harsh backlit conditions any vehicle can be detected.
