Bruce Diederich's Bio
Bruce grew up in the roofing industry, beginning at an early age working for his father’s roofing business learning the shingling trade. Later on, he moved into the lumber industry selling material to homeowners, builders and developers in the Chicagoland area, eventually moving to Ft Myers, Florida to continue his career. After a few years in Florida, he returned to the Chicago area and acquired Standard Material Company, a distributor of commercial and residential roofing materials. Due to the economic conditions at the time, the business had to close. Over the next several years, Bruce worked for several leading local and nationally recognized roofing material distribution companies in a variety of capacities.
In 1998, Bruce purchased the Waukegan Roofing Company Inc., a well-established commercial, industrial and residential roofing company in business since 1914. Since the acquisition, the company has expanded to include a full service maintenance division and roofing related architectural sheet metal.
Bruce has been in the building materials and roofing industry for over 49 years, serving in numerous capacities.
