Jorge (George) Salinas was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. He was introduced to the electrical field through a 2-year vocational program offered at his high school.
He continued to perfect his craft in the electrical field and in 1994, at the age of 17, was hired as an Apprentice Electrician at Certified Electric. Four years later, George became a Journeymen Electrician and soon after, Supervisor of Operations.
In 2004 George decided it was time for he and his wife, Adrianne, to begin taking necessary steps towards owning their own business. Between being a full-time father and full-time electrician, George studied, and in May 2005 passed the Master Electrician Exam. After 11.5 years of working for Certified Electric, George put in his 6-month notice, and began paperwork to become a licensed Electrical Contractor for the State of Texas.
Absolute Power Electrical Contractors officially opened for business in May 2005. By November 2005, George hired his first employee and today, 13 years later, the company has grown to having 50 employees. George was introduced to EOS (Entrepreneurs Operating System) in 2016 and now runs the business through this system.
Over four decades in electrical construction has given Joe the chance to see many changes. He has seen lighting evolve through fluorescent to LED and lighting control evolve from switches and contactors to digital low voltage and wireless. Continuing to learn and adapt is the key to staying on top of the changes in the industry. When not working Joe enjoys spending time with his wife watching movies or riding their Harleys through the Texas hill country. Wind in the face and bugs in the teeth is a great way to relax.
