Lawrence Clark's Bio
Lawrence (Larry) Clark is the principal of Sustainable Performance Solutions LLC (SPS), a South Florida-based engineering firm whose practice is limited to energy and sustainability consulting. Before launching SPS, he served as Director of Corporate Business Development at Hill York and was actively engaged with its Hygreen Energy Solutions group from its launch in early 2008 until he started SPS in September 2010. His previous experience includes such diverse assignments as president and vice president at MEPCO (formerly Dunham Division of Dunham-Bush); and regional manager at Vapor Power division of Westinghouse Air Brake. Clark is a graduate engineer (B.S.E.E.), a certified Green Globes Professional, a LEED AP with O+M specialty credential, a Certified Commercial Energy Auditor, a Florida Water Starsm Commercial and Institutional Certifier, a Qualified Commissioning Process Provider (QCxP), and a Certified Guiding Principles Compliance Professional. He has had more than two dozen HVAC and energy related articles published and is a frequent presenter and lecturer on green building certification, central energy plant optimization, metering/submetering, and advanced ventilation strategies. He also writes the semi-monthly “Clark’s Remarks” blog for HPAC Engineering and is a member of various professional organizations including ASHRAE, IEEE and USGBC South Florida (2011-2012 chair of Broward Green Schools Committee and current Chapter Advocacy chair). In addition, he serves on the BOMA Florida Energy Committee, HPAC Engineering’s Editorial Advisory Board, and the Smart Growth Partnership Board of Directors. Clark previously served on the Green Building Certification Institute (GBCI) Education Review Team, served six years on the City of Pompano Beach Recycling & Solid Waste Advisory Committee, and presently serves on the City of Fort Lauderdale Sustainability Advisory Board.
Mike Modica's Bio
Michael Modica is the principal of the PropertyMD, Inc , a South Florida general contracting firm specializing in commercial and residential improvements to investment real estate.
His experience includes 18 years of construction and renovation and Head of Facilities Management for the CSCPBC a south Florida tax district
He is a certified commercial investment member (C.C.I.M), Certified Property Manager, a Licensed Certified Florida General Contractor and holds a LEED AP with O+M specialty designation.
Mike is a member of BOMA’s Ft. Lauderdale chapter, the International Facility Managers Association (IFMA) and the Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM).

Ross Lande's Bio
Ross Lande is the newest member of the SPS team. As a summer intern, Ross built on his collegiate experience as a student television producer to work as a production assistant on “Swamp Wars” for the Animal Planet TV series. After graduating with a B.A. in Telecommunications, he did post production on such shows as the Steve Harvey Show, Anderson Cooper Live, the Jeremy Kyle Show, Judge Mathis, and People’s Court. Ross then joined the family business – a supplier of high efficiency lighting and HVAC solutions – and trained as a lighting auditor. He now has more than a year of performing lighting and HVAC surveys, primarily counting fixtures/lamps and collecting equipment nameplate and usage data, and will be expanding his capabilities and competencies as a field technician with SPS, under the supervision of the firm’s professional staff.
