James has over forty years of experience in commercial, industrial, environmental, petroleum and chemical construction projects. Responsibilities have included office management, estimating, project management, procurement, construction contract administration, field supervision, safety management and business development. James’ areas of expertise include general contracting, construction management, construction risk, construction damages, construction defects, delays, contract analysis, subcontract management, project controls and site safety.
James is a LEED Accredited Professional, a Visiting Team Member for the American Council for Construction Education, the Immediate Past Chair of the Carolinas Associated General Contractors Association Board of Directors, a National Center for Construction Education and Research Certified Instructor, an AGC of America Certified Master Commercial Carpenter and a Peer Advisory Board Roundtable member.
James has provided services as an expert witness in construction related litigation.
James has a B.S. in Building Construction from Clemson University. He is also a graduate of the AGC of America Advanced Management Program.
