Scope Of Work
Langston Construction Company held the start-up meeting for the belt press addition at the Maple Creek WWTP in Greer, SC. This substantial completion milestone was achieved 15 days prior to the contractual substantial completion date. The addition of this press will assist Greer CPW in treating up to 5 million gallons of wastewater per day more efficiently to better serve more than
12,000 clients. Special thanks go out to the members of the Greer CPW Team, Design South Professionals, Inc., and the construction team for their contributions to another successful project.
The existing pre-engineered metal building that housed the belt press was extended by 1,500 square feet.
The existing WAS/Drain piping system was extended to accomodate the new belt press.
Relocation of existing below grade air piping and concrete foundations was needed to accomodate the new belt press.
Installation of the new belt press required the addition of polymer feed systems with the associated, electrical, motor control center bucket change out, and associated masonry, finishes, plumbing, and HVAC upgrade.
