Scope Of Work
In 2018 AW was awarded a Design / Build contract for a new research building at the CAPS facility in Innovation Park. Our Design Team, Hicks Nation Architects and their MEP engineer, Pinnacle Engineering Group, provided the design to meet CAPS requirements including matching their existing research building, a Faraday Cage, extensive electrical work (the electrical portion of the work has exceeded $1,000,000), and other unique features to support the work this group does. As of April 2020 the project was close to be complete, although somewhat hampered by the Covid-19 event.
As this project nears completion, FSU has directed our DB Team to proceed with design and pricing on a 6,400 sf addition (Phase II) to the building, doubling the size of this research building. The original 6,400 sf space (Phase I) will be occupied while the new addition is constructed with a target date of late spring 2021 for Phase II to be complete.
