Mark Patterson's Bio
Mark Patterson serves as Vice President of the Construction Division
for California Gold. Mark joined CA Gold Development Corporation in
August of 2007 after spending the previous 10 years in the development
and construction business as a self-employed contractor. Mark’s
experience includes development and construction of the following
types of projects: residential subdivision, commercial office,
school construction projects, medical office, outpatient clinic and
long-term care facilities. In Mark’s previous career, he spent 15
years in the Fire Service, retiring as a Captain from the Modesto Fire Department.
Mark is responsible for overseeing all of
the construction activities of California Gold,
including project management, subcontractor relations, scheduling,
materials, progress payment approvals,
and design consultant management. He works closely with architects and
engineers to ensure that every project built meets the high standards
of California Gold.
Mark currently is a board member of the Tuolumne County
Building Industry Association and serves as director. He also sits on
the management team for Sierra Bible Church where he, his wife and
family attend church in Sonora. Mark has been actively involved in
fundraising for Mother Lode Christian School for the past 10 years.
During his earlier years, Mark served his community as a volunteer
Firefighter for 8 years with the City of Sonora Fire Department. In
his free time he has enjoyed coaching his daughters’ basketball,
baseball and soccer teams.
Ronald M Woodall's Bio
Ron Woodall is Chief Executive Officer of California Gold. He has 44
years of diversified business management experience. Ron received his
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from California State
University, Fullerton in 1972. After his honorable discharge from the
Marine Corps in 1968, he worked as an accountant for Disneyland, an
auditor for the County of Los Angeles and an accountant/auditor for
the City of Laguna Beach, California. In 1974, Ron was appointed
Director of Finance for the City of Marysville, California, making him
the youngest finance director in the state. In 1976, he moved to the
Bay Area and served as Assistant Superintendent for Administrative
Services for the Sequoia Union High School District, managing 7 high
schools with a total student population of 12,000. He then joined
California Gold in 1981, when the company was still a small custom
home builder grossing under $1 million. Under Ron’s leadership, the
company has grown to include 25 subsidiary entities employing over 200
people, with gross annual revenues of $50 million.
Ron is a respected local business leader and volunteers his
time and expertise to many varied local government and civic
organizations. He recently resigned as a member of the Governmental
Affairs Council to the Tuolumne County Chamber of Commerce after
serving for 20 years. Ron recently joined the Sonora Regional Medical
Center Foundation Board of Directors, and also serves on the Executive
Advisory Committee of the local chapter of Habitat for Humanity. Past
activities include President of the Tuolumne County Building Industry,
President of Sierra Repertory Theater, Treasurer and Director of the
Tuolumne County Economic Development Company for 10 years, director
and charter member of the Tuolumne General Hospital Foundation,
Chairman of the Tuolumne County Solid Waste Task Force, and member of
the Sonora 49er Rotary Club. Ron and his wife also devote substantial
time and energy to their work at Sierra Bible Church in Sonora.
Scot Patterson's Bio
Scot serves as the President of California Gold Development Corp. He
has over 18 years of real estate development and brokerage experience.
With 18 years of extensive real estate experience, he oversees all
development activities for California Gold and has been instrumental
in garnering new business for the company, from sourcing and acquiring
raw land to populating projects with national tenants. Scot has
created strong relationships and developed successful projects with
notable clients such as the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, U.S.
Department of Homeland Security, Army Corp of Engineers, Lowe’s HIW,
McDonald’s Corp, British Petroleum, ARCO AM/PM, Starbucks, Big 5
Sporting Goods, Tractor Supply Company, ATT Wireless, Regal Cinemas,
Applebee’s, Jamba Juice, Game Stop, Sally Beauty, Subway, First
American Title Co., Avalon Health Care, and others. His
responsibilities also include working with various lending
institutions to structure favorable financing for development projects.
Previously, Scot also served as the Principal Broker of
Prudential California Realty, a full-service commercial and
residential real estate brokerage firm with offices in Sonora, Twain
Harte, and Arnold, California. Under Scot’s guidance, the brokerage
was named Tuolumne County’s Best Real Estate Brokerage for four out of
five years. As a result of his strong leadership, Scot was elected
President of the Tuolumne County Association of Realtors in 2005.
Prior to starting his real estate career, he played collegiate
basketball for 4 years at Fresno Pacific University and then went on
to play professional basketball in Australia.
Scot has coached youth basketball for many years and enjoys
mentoring kids to be the best that they can be. One of Scot’s personal
highlights was the privilege of meeting one of his heroes, Coach John
Wooden, a few short years before Wooden’s passing. Scot served on the
Civic Advisory Committee for Sonora Regional Medical Center, and
provides on-going support to Habitat for Humanity and local
fundraising efforts. He is a member of the Tuolumne County Chamber of
Commerce as well as the Tuolumne County Visitors Bureau. Scot received
his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management/Marketing from
Fresno Pacific University in 1991.
Steven Campbell Jr's Bio
Steve Campbell, Jr. is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for
California Gold Development Corporation. He has an extensive
operations improvement and project management background, beginning
with his Industrial & Systems Engineering degree from Virginia
Tech where he also earned a business minor concentration. His
broad-based work experience began with operations improvement and
optimization roles within cellular phone manufacturing. The majority
of his post-graduate experience has been working within large
financial institutions including JP Morgan Chase and HSBC. In these
organizations, Steve demonstrated his capabilities in various roles.
As an Operations Analyst, he identified substantial operational
savings opportunities and efficiencies relative to call center
operations. As a Project Manager, he consulted on and contributed to
multiple large-scale system conversions. He also worked closely with
domestic and offshore business and technology development teams to
implement enhanced solutions to reduce fraud losses and improve
customer experience. In addition, his fraud technology experience
involved development and implementation of a critical fraud monitoring
and decision system and an automated outbound dialer. He managed and
supported a team of fraud project managers in multiple company
locations. He developed extensive business requirement specifications,
operational reporting metrics and phased product enhancements to
support the needs of the Business while maintaining a positive
customer experience. Throughout his financial services career, he
cultivated strong internal customer, vendor and system developer relationships.
In 2011, Steve joined California Gold and initially served as
the Director of Property & Asset Management. During that time, he
successfully managed the California Gold properties, including lease
negotiations, vendor contracts and addressing all tenant matters. He
also stepped into the role of Operational Manager of the California
Gold Energy unit, which opened its first ARCO AMPM site and quickly
became very successful with substantial first year growth, top-notch
inspection scores and a second-to-none focus on customer satisfaction.
He also brings his knowledge and love of technology to the
organization and has implemented multiple tools and systems to create
additional capabilities and efficiencies for the Company and its members.
As CFO, Steve manages the Accounting and Property Management
departments of the Company, while increasing his financial oversight
and control responsibilities. He continues to grow and guide the
California Gold Energy unit as it expands to additional sites. Steve
works closely with the rest of the Management Team to help lead the
Company to its next level of growth and prosperity.
Steve and his wife, Janina, along with their two children, are
happy to have the opportunity to live and contribute to the vibrant
community here in the Northern California foothills. His recreational
interests include running, hiking, mountain biking and spending time
with his family.

Brian Kriz's Bio
Brian Kriz joined California Gold Development Corporation in 2018,
bringing with him a 21-year diverse background in architecture and
retail development. Brian, a native of Sacramento, graduated from
Sacramento State University with a Bachelor’s degree in Interior
Design. He then spent several years in the architectural industry
before joining a large industrial / office space developer, Buzz Oates
Construction, as their Project Manager. There, Brian specialized in
constructing industrial buildings and managing tenant improvements.
After 6 years on the industrial side, Brian joined Weingarten Realty
Investors, (a large publicly traded REIT specializing in retail
development), where he spent the next 12 years as the Construction
Manager working directly with national retailers to open new locations
across the Western US. As Construction Manager, Brian managed multiple
complex construction projects simultaneously from small tenant
improvements to large ground-up retail shopping centers.
Brian and his wife, Jean, recently relocated to Tuolumne County
with their daughter, Jenna. Since moving to the sierra foothills,
Brian and his family have enjoyed camping, hiking and kayaking around
the local lakes.
