Al Marsocci's Bio
Al has over 25 years of construction and engineering experience in the utility and public market sectors. His passion has been designing and constructing bridges, highways and major gas pipeline infrastructure servicing much of the East Coast and Greater New England areas.
Educated with a Bachelors Degree of Science in Civil Engineering and an MBA in Finance, Al started as a field engineer and progressed diligently through the years to where he most recently worked as an operations executive for a large gas and electric utility company servicing much of the New England region.
Al is a key part of Ferreira’s executive management team that defines and focuses on policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives. His experience is instrumental to the growth and development of the company, specifically in the Greater New England area.
Brandon Pensick's Bio
Brandon has over 20 years of experience in the underground construction industry. He has managed a wide variety of utility projects for the California Department of Transportation, Inland Empire Utility Agency, Padre Dam Municipal Water District, the Oakland International Airport, counties and municipalities, and many private entities. As Vice President, Brandon is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations at Ferreira Coastal under the guidance of the President Nelson Ferreira. He ensures that all company resources are deployed in an efficient and professional manner on all projects, in order to perform work within budget and ahead of schedule. In addition, Mr. Pensick monitors project objectives, company policies, and procedures and performance standards of all field personnel. Brandon has managed and successfully completed projects ranging from $100,000 to $15 million on time and on budget. Brandon’s primary responsibilities include senior construction management; proposal and budget development; client, agency, and labor union negotiations; and personnel management.
Brian Delpome's Bio
Brian Delpome has been with Ferreira since 2000, and is responsible for managing the New Jersey field operations. As a New Jersey based company, this results in him overseeing a significant part of the company’s projects. He ensures that all company resources are deployed in an efficient and professional manner to perform work safely, within budget and on schedule. Brian also reviews critical complex bids, and is the company’s union liaison and labor relations negotiator for New Jersey operations. In addition to his field responsibilities, Brian is a key part of the company’s executive management team that defines company policies and procedures and he has been and continues to be instrumental in the company’s growth and development.
Danny Garcia's Bio
Danny Garcia has served for more than 20 years as a leader in the engineering and construction industry in Florida. His experience as a builder extends from heavy highway construction to building construction in both the public and private market, performing in different roles that include estimator, project manager, operations manager, contracts manager and design-build project manager for several reputable firms. His approach to doing business with clients, which include the Florida Department of Transportation and some of the largest contractors in the world, has earned him a reputation of a business partner and a problem solver with close attention to customer service and win-win solutions. Danny served as President and Member of the Board of Directors of the Engineering Contractors Association of South Florida promoting the construction industry standing with local government agencies and an unified front on issues that affect its members’ core business.
Danny was born in Girardot, Colombia and migrated to the United States in 1981 with his family. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a Masters in Business Administration, both from the University of Florida, earning several honors while attending (e.g. Member of the Chi Epsilon Civil Engineering Honor Society and the National Dean List, as well as graduating with Honors).
Jerry Killian's Bio
Jerry Killian is responsible for overseeing all of the accounting, financial and tax functions in the Company. Jerry joined Ferreira Construction in 2015. Prior to Ferreira, Jerry has 35 years of public accounting experience as a CPA and as the Partner-in-Charge of Construction Services at a national and regional CPA Firm. As a construction industry expert, Jerry has extensive experience in business process improvement, systems and internal controls and in the selection and implementation of construction specific software. He is also experienced in performing litigation support consulting in connection with construction contract disputes and project cost audits.
John Ciabattari's Bio
John Ciabattari is General Manager for Ferreira Construction bringing more than 20 years of marine and heavy civil construction experience to his role. As the Southern Division General Manager, he is responsible for the overall administration, management and supervision of the of all construction activities, including project coordination, safety and interaction with all persons or entities involved with Ferreira Construction’s Southern Division construction activities. Ciabattari oversees the proper training of employees and ensures that his project supervisors are proficient in onsite coordination of construction projects.
Nancy Vliet's Bio
Nancy Vliet Cucco has been with Ferreira since 1999, and is responsible for the overall successful execution of Ferreira’s projects in New York and California. Nancy is a licensed professional engineer in the State of New Jersey and is a member of The Moles and The Beavers. Her passion for construction began with her first job out of college as a field engineer, and she uses her experience and technical background to work with the owner’s representatives and the project staff to ensure projects are completed safely, in a professional manner, and within budget and schedule. Nancy also coordinates senior staff meetings and spearheads the development and implementation of innovative management techniques, employee conflict resolution, and employee professional advancement. Nancy is a key part of the company’s executive management team that defines company policies and procedures and she has been and continues to be instrumental in the company’s growth and development.
Nelson Ferreira's Bio
Nelson Ferreira is a naturally gifted entrepreneur and leader. His greatest asset is his forward-thinking vision which is quickly followed by his exceptional instinct to hire the right people to make his vision a reality. Nelson embarked on his first business endeavor in 1988 with the inception of Ferreira Construction, and the company has transformed from a small startup company to a national premier contractor. Today, Ferreira Construction has offices in NJ, NY, FL, CA, and RI, generates over $500 million in revenue, and employs over 1000 people. Nelson is the core of Ferreira Construction and is responsible for the company’s 100% commitment to safety, business development, market strategy, and overall growth of the company. Tino Garcia's Bio
Tino Garcia has been with Ferreira since 1995, and was Nelson Ferreira’s first management hire. Alongside Nelson, he guided the company through its early years as a small contractor, helping to transform Ferreira into a major contender in the New Jersey market. He then accepted the challenge to start up operations in Florida, and is now responsible for managing Ferreira’s southern division. His critical role of overseeing the southern operations has led to several significant contract awards including major dredge and diving projects. Tino also plays a key role in overseeing the estimating division of the company, and has a unique ability to key in on critical items while bidding and building projects. He is actively involved in industry associations, and served as President of the UTCA in 2016. Tino is a key part of the company’s executive management team that defines company policies and procedures and he has been and continues to be instrumental in the company’s growth and development.

Tom Groark's Bio
A key player on the Ferreira team since 2008, Mr. Groark brings 35 years of construction management and major project experience, including underground/tunnel work, major mass transit rail projects, and building construction. Tom is an engineer who directs Ferreira’s New York operation.
Prior to joining Ferreira, Tom worked with Morrison Knudsen and Slattery. There, he was involved in marine construction in Connecticut, tunnel work in Washington, DC, and Chicago, and subway rehabilitation efforts in New York City.
