Jim is President for The George Sollitt Construction Company with over 39 years of construction experience specializing in Health Care and Educational Construction Projects. Jim joined Sollitt in 1986 and is one of our most experienced managers. Jim’s experience includes successfully completing many types of Healthcare projects including Laboratories, Clean Rooms, Operating Rooms and all types of Hospital Projects requiring diligent adherence to infectious control procedures while incorporating the latest in specialized equipment . His extensive background includes working with regulatory agencies on projects at the Army Corps of Engineers, Cook Nuclear Facility and the U.S. Navy.

With over thirty-three years of experience, Jamie has direct, comprehensive knowledge in all phases of new construction and renovation work. Demonstrating his proficiency in Estimating, Bid Preparation, Project Scheduling, Contract Negotiations, On-site Engineering, Project Administration and Field Supervision; Jamie, has held executive responsibility on more than 35 major projects with a combined value of more than $511 million. Jamie has an outstanding record of success in the construction of Educational, Institutional Facilities and Municipal projects.

Following a path similar to his father, John Pridmore Sr., (President of Sollitt from 1967 to 1987), John began his career with Sollitt in 1972 as a laborer while attending Kendall College and the Chicago Technical College. During his 44 years with Sollitt, he has experienced all aspects of the construction industry including Field Operations, Estimating, Business Development, Project Management and Executive Management.

Mike he has 38 years of ample experience in estimating, bid preparation, scheduling, and managing construction projects ranging in value up to $150 million. With his extraordinary background in project management and estimating, Mike will bring an exceptionally broad and varied experience to the vital early planning stages of your project. He provides constant communication of the status of all issues to the team of subcontractors, owner representatives and Design Professionals. Mike’s experience, computer based network of cost data and close relation in working with the subcontractor community allows him and his team to generate quick and accurate estimates at any stage or type of building project. Mike and his team can assure 3-5 bids in each trade commodity ensuring very competitive pricing and cost.

Steve graduated from Washburne Trade School and attended Harper College before coming to Sollitt in 1981. Since that time, Steve has developed a strong project leadership skills resulting in him being promoted to Vice President of Field Operations /Safety Director. He will bring to your project an advanced knowledge of construction safety procedures, control and compliance, as well as project site organization. In his role as Field Operations Manager/Safety Director, Steve is responsible for scheduling and overseeing all field staff, as well as analyzing specific site requirements for GSCC material and equipment resources. As Safety Director he manages all elements of our corporate safety program including employee training, weekly and quarterly safety meetings, as well as monitoring and enforcement of applicable OSHA standards on all project sites.

Tom Baker’s career in construction began in 1980, after graduating from Western Illinois University. He joined Sollitt in 1987, and has enjoyed over 31 years doing what he enjoys most; managing some of our most challenging projects. Tom has worked on projects where he was instrumental in providing strong leadership in managing the construction process while keeping the atmosphere friendly. Tom is responsible for the overall executive management and outcome of your project. He will provide executive oversight and support during the pre-construction and construction phases. Tom will provide oversight and administrative assistance to the project manager and field personnel for all construction activities.

Daryl graduated from Trinty Christian College with a B.S. degree and Kent College of Law with a J.D. degree. He came to Sollitt highly experienced with a CPA and CRIS certification. Daryl has worked in both private and public sectors utilizing his accounting talents. Since joining Sollitt he has taken on the Treasurer’s role and oversees the accounting department. Daryl also works along side Steve Lenz in coordinating our Risk Management department. At the end of the day, Daryl not only enjoys “counting money in the vault” but making sure that Sollitt, stays on a solid financial ground.
