A. Prete Construction Company was founded in 1908 by our president’s grandfather, Aniello Prete, a skilled and hard-working young mason. It wasn’t long before his reputation for superior performance and effective management generated requests for Aniello as a general contractor. 51 years later, John Prete took over the family business and expanded our client base to include universities, hotels, senior living, public education, and churches.

The family business passed to a third generation in 1995 when Neil Prete formed A. Prete Construction Co, Incorporated. Neil honored and enhanced our relationships with existing clients and cultivated new ones with hospitals, retailers, corporate clients, and municipalities. Neil has also expanded the company’s services, offering construction management, as well as general contracting.
