Grand River Construction faced a variety of tough tasks when it took on the role of concrete subcontractor for this project, which consisted of two 2.5 million gallon retention basins, a head works facility, two outfall structures, and a pump station. We had to manage complex watertight structures, tall concrete wall pours, and an architectural form liner finish on walls exposed to view. The challenges didn’t end there. Faced with unforeseen delays due to soil conditions, the general contractor asked for Grand River’s help. We made up the lost time in the schedule by increasing the needed skilled manpower, management and equipment, all without jeopardizing quality or safety.
