Scope Of Work

 Grand Bohemian Hotel is a new, 57,125 square foot, Four Diamond hotel  historic downtown Charleston, SC.  50-room luxury boutique hotel includes a 1,100 square foot art gallery, wine blending  tasting room, fitness center, as well as a rooftop restaurant  terrace.  hotel also offers 3,000 square feet of meeting  event space, a café  a valet parking lot.

Wood beams  brick were taken from  original structure  reused as decorative features inside  new hotel.   wanted  lighting to make a statement throughout  hotel,  specifically at  front desk to give it a "glowing" appearance. Thus,  design  specified numerous ways to do so, including installing 50,000 lumens  LED lighting around  front desk; adding a window in  express elevator so guests could view  exterior as they ride to the restaurant  bar ; installing a skylight in  center    to allow light into  interior guestrooms;  completely enclosing  top   staircases  glass.

 hotel was constructed on a tight  on  corner  Meeting & Wentworth Streets. As  new hotel encompasses  entire , very little lay down  was available during . Mashburn coordinated closely with  City  Charleston  neighboring businesses to do a lane closure on Wentworth Street for deliveries  lay down space. Mashburn also provided extensive   ideas throughout   process  order to meet  ’s level  quality while also controlling costs.

This  was honored with  City  Charleston  for Design Excellence.
