William "Herman" Weaver, began his construction career as a
bookkeeper for a lumber company. Fascinated with the construction
process, he worked his way into increasingly responsible roles and
developed an abiding appreciation for the value of quality materials
and workmanship. In 1939, he opened W.H. Weaver Construction Company,
primarily to provide single-family homes in North Carolina's rapidly
growing Triad area. And from day one, he measured his company's
success not by profits but by the quality of its finished work, the
satisfaction of its clients and the level of community involvement.
Herman's commitment to doing the best thing for his clients was
shared by his son Mike, who joined the company in 1961 and later
became President. During Mike's 35-year tenure, the company expanded
geographically and continued to prosper based on its core commitment
to excellence in client service. Long-term client relationships
developed during this period include Volunteers of America, Quaintance
Weaver Restaurants & Hotels, Twin Lakes Retirement Community.
Today, under the leadership of President Dan Estes, WEAVERCOOKE
continues its legacy of quality and impeccable service. A recognized
leader throughout the Southeast, the company has won national and
regional awards for construction and safety performance. Our direct
and descriptive approach to the construction process has led to a
loyal following of successful clients throughout the region and beyond.
