Adam spent his early career in Sales and Marketing roles with Black & Decker launching the DeWalt Industrial Tool brand. For the last 20, he’s been a Marketing Executive at The Sherwin Williams Company – building global brands and product teams in consumer and commercial market segments. Adam serves as the President of Susan G. Komen in Northeast Ohio. Adam is charged with building the Welty portfolio of brands, driving sales strategy, business development, and Marketing integration with our clients and community partners.

A native New Yorker, Bill has held a variety of jobs ranging from taxi driver to general management. Bill believes the equation that drives business success is ER>=CR. Employee Relationships are always greater than or equal to Customer Relationships. People are the difference when creating a safer job site and a better first cost for a customer’s project. People accelerate a project schedule, and provide solutions that enhance operating margins. Bill has more than 25 years of experience as a senior executive at organizations such as Black & Decker, Procter & Gamble, ICI Paints, and McGraw Hill Construction in sales, marketing, operations and general management.  Bill has a doctorate of management from Case Western Reserve University. He is a published author and consultant on the following topics: Lean Construction, Lean EpC, workplace and workforce engagement, and emotional intelligence.

With more than 30 years of energy experience, Brad is a proven leader in building high performance teams, cultivating customer and employee satisfaction and fulfillment, and creating a culture of continuous improvement. He has a passion for improving operations and profitability and reducing costs. As President of Welty Energy, Brad provides Project Management Services using Lean Building ScienceTM to facilitate project completion, waste elimination, cost reduction, and schedule completion.

Don Taylor began his tenure with Welty 25 years ago in a Project Management role, which aligned with his former construction and management experience. After five years of growing under Jerry Welty’s leadership, Don and Jerry formed a partnership in 1996 that resulted in the formation of Welty Building Company Ltd. Don was appointed President of Welty in 1996 and CEO in 1999 and has continued to build Welty’s reputation of excellence with foresight in planning and superior end results.

Ed Paparone is a lifetime resident of Northeast Ohio and has been a member of its construction industry for more than 38 years. Ed has formed and developed teams to deliver some of the most complex and challenging projects in the region in the healthcare, education, research, commercial and industrial market segments. Ed has an extensive background in preconstruction, helping his clients realize their visions through a collaborative project development approach.

Fred started his career in the office furniture industry more than 30 years ago as an account executive, and he’s seen first-hand how world-class manufacturers are continuing to evolve, delivering new and innovative ergonomic workplace solutions. As the President of environments 4 business, Fred uses his extensive experience and knowledge to lead his team to the best solutions for their clients.

With more than 35 years in the construction industry, Freddie has managed a wide range of projects, including Higher Education, Healthcare, K-12, Aviation, Criminal Justice, and Public and Private Developer facilities. Freddie will help drive growth in the Texas market by leading business development efforts.

The construction industry has always interested John. As a teenager, he worked summers alongside a neighbor, who served as a general superintendent for several large-scale commercial construction projects. The experience and mentorship motivated him to enroll in his high school’s building trade course, where eight students designed, estimated and constructed a single-family home – selling it for a profit later that year. Since that time he’s never looked back. He spent 28 years working in various capacities for a Fortune 100 national contractor in the healthcare, life sciences, higher education and corporate office markets. Most recently he worked in commercial real estate, overseeing the development and construction of projects in the Houston area. At Welty, John will help drive growth in the Texas market.

As an Ohio State alum, John has an affinity for the Columbus region that runs deep. As the President of Welty’s central Ohio office, John channels his passion for the region into his hands-on oversight and leadership for every project. He’s been in the construction industry for nearly 20 years, and has managed projects for a variety of sectors including retail, healthcare, education and commercial office space.

Vanessa Anton has enjoyed more than 12 years in public accounting and five years in construction accounting.  She is an experienced Controller with a demonstrated history of strong accounting skills in Internal Audit, Internal Controls, and Financial Statements.

Dan Bernhard has 33 years of construction experience.  In his current role as Vice President of Preconstruction, Dan provides estimating support and management of four offices in Texas and Ohio.  Dan is responsible for his staff delivering quality proposals that allow projects to be successful for all team members. His ability to conceptualize design and cost details results in early budgets that can be maintained throughout the design phase of construction.

Chris Burns started in the construction industry in 1989 and has worked as a laborer, carpenter, project manager, Chief Estimator and division manager. He is responsible for the strategic planning and continued expansion of our construction services.  Chris’ goals include providing sites free of incidents and injuries, inclusion of small and disadvantaged businesses, and partnerships with local communities and trade partners.

Jay Griffith joined Welty from ExxonMobil/AES with more than forty years of general business management experience.  In his position, he will play an instrumental role in the overall company growth strategy.

As an avid long-distance runner, Robert knows the power of setting a goal and doing what it takes to get it done. At Welty, he puts this philosophy into practice for new clients, helping them see the potential in their projects – no matter how challenging. Prior to joining Welty, Robert amassed an extensive resume in sales, having worked as manager of suite sales for the Cleveland Browns and senior therapeutic director for Pfizer Pharmaceuticals. Robert is active in the community, serving on the Boards of three local organizations.
