WHO WE ARE

Ohio Awning is a unique combination of the craftsmanship and integrity of the 19th century with the technology and innovation of the 21st century.

HISTORY

We were originally founded in 1865, when James Wagner returned from the Civil War to make tents, sails, bags and later, awnings. In 1931, Wagner Awning & Tents moved into its current 78,000 square foot factory on the near West side of Cleveland. For decades, Wagner Awning has continued to make residential and commercial awnings for customers throughout Ohio as well as tents and projects for the military during World War II, the Vietnam War and even the Gulf War. In the early 1990’s, Wagner Awning became known as Ohio Awning & Manufacturing Co.
