Scope Of Work
This generator installation project also involved significant life safety renovations to this facility on the north side of Chicago. While upgrading the MEP systems on the building’s first floor, conflicts discovered above the ceiling had to be resolved after selective demolition but before the rest of the project could proceed. Phasing the work efficiently required close coordination with the general contractor and engineer of record.
After selective demolition was complete and temporary power was run, new distribution and branch panels, as well as new electrical feeders were installed. The natural gas generator was also replaced. The light fixtures, lamps, switches, and lighting controls were upgraded, as were the exit and emergency lights.
The project also brought a new CCTV/CATV system into the entire 18-story facility, including voice/data equipment. The building also received a new fire alarm & area of rescue assistance system.
