WHO.

WHERE.

WHEN.

WHAT.
Remove and replace a 7.5 ton packaged heat pump unit.

WHY.
Due to the previous units old age, the technician and client decided it was ideal to replace the unit rather than pay to maintain it. The unit was burnt out, compressor was too old, and ordering parts for the unit was troublesome. Also, the unit has taken internal and external damage from other companies that has been there to service it.

COMMENTS.
This job was different, to say the least. The crane lift companies we work with could not reach the area where the unit had to be placed. It was too far in and too high. So what we had to do was hire a helicopter company, Summit, to help us finish the job. It took about 2 weeks to get a helicopter lift scheduled, to get confirmation with the mall management office, and to get everything ready for the project. Although it may seem like a lot of work, California Air (us) and Summit Helicopters were able to work together flawlessly without any issues. Communication and providing correct information helped every step of the way.
