Brian Janssen's Bio
Brian Janssen began his construction career in 1996 after graduating from the Colorado State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree Construction Management. He entered the industry as a Field Engineer working with an Industrial Company in Colorado and California. He later went on to work as an estimator and manager for a Denver based retail constructor. Brian quickly developed a passion for the preconstruction process, which is a vital component of any successful design build project. Brian has led the estimating efforts on industrial, retail, historic renovations, institutional, health care, educational and resorts jobs as the Chief Estimator, for the past eighteen years. Now as the Chief Estimator at dcb Construction Company, Brian oversees the entire Pre-Construction Department as his main task. His other key responsibilities include the coordinating the Design Build process to insure that projects pass through the dcb process seamlessly. Brian is proficient in all aspects of Pre-Construction services with a variety of contract delivery methods including Design / Build, Design / Bid / Build, and Design / Assist. His continued education has resulted in passing the 2009 IBC and earning a LEED BD+C accreditation.
Dan McComb's Bio
Dan McComb is the President and a Principal at dcb Construction Company, Inc. He has a 25-year track record successfully guiding companies in the construction, design and manufacturing industries. Mr. McComb brings invaluable experience in residential, commercial and retail construction management, and he has overseen projects with budgets as large as in the tens of millions of dollars.
Prior to assuming the role of President, Mr. McComb spent six years as CFO and Construction Operations Manager at dcb Construction. During that time, he played an integral role in helping design, construct and complete hundreds of buildings for owners, users and developers.
Mr. McComb earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Accounting (magna cum laude) from Loras College in Iowa. He is a member of the Construction Financial Management Association and has served on various community related, non-profit boards in Colorado. He also is a member of the dcb Construction board of directors. He lives in Littleton, Colorado, with his two children and in his spare time enjoys skiing, biking, hiking, and playing hockey.
John R. Barna, Jr.'s Bio
John has worked in the design and construction industry in the Denver area since 1972. After earning a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of Nebraska, he worked as a structural engineer for Rocky Mountain Prestressed Concrete before joining dcb Construction Company, Inc. in 1977. He held several positions including Project Manager, Vice President of Construction, Director of Operations, before assuming the role of President and CEO in 1982. With his help and guidance, dcb Construction Company inc. has become one of the leading commercial and industrial Design-Build firms in the Rocky Mountain Region.
Along the way, John has been activity involved in industry and community service. He is a graduate of Leadership Denver and the Colorado Association of Commerce and Industry’s 50 for Colorado. He has served as the National President of the Systems Builder Association and its local Chapter, is a Chairman of the Butler Manufacturing National Builders Advisory Council, is currently the president of the Building Systems Institute, and is one of the founding members of the Colorado Chapter of the Associated Builders and Contractors. He has also served on several Boards including the local Chapter of the American Arbitration Association, Shoshoni Youth Ranch, Kelley Western, Colorado Springs National Bank and Board of Advisors of CityWide Banks, multi-term President of the Alameda West Kiwanis Club, and has been honored as “Mentor of the Year” by the Colorado “I Have a Dream” Foundation .
Scott King's Bio
Scott King is Chief Financial Officer and a Principal in dcb Construction Company, Inc. and is responsible for the financial and risk management operations of the company. Prior to his current role, he was an advisory member of the board of directors of the company for over three years.
Mr. King has over 25 years of financial management experience with 18 of these years at Molson Coors Brewing Company in various financial roles. His experience at Molson Coors ranged from being a controller at a glass plant to leading the global planning, forecasting and analysis. He graduated with a Petroleum Engineering degree from Colorado School of Mines and an MBA from Ohio State University. He also serves on the board of dcb Construction Company as Chairman and Treasurer.
Mr. King has been the Treasurer and board member of a non-profit for the last seven years. He lives in Golden, Colorado, with his wife and has two children currently in college. He is an avid golfer and travels as time permits.

Rudy Reynolds's Bio
Rudy Reynolds is a pre-construction manager for dcb Construction Company. His responsibilities include cultivating client relationships, business development, management, coordination, and delivery of the pre-construction phases of the projects. This includes communication and coordination between engineers, architects, city officials, scheduling, sub-contractors, and estimators to ensure that the project is set up for success.
Rudy has 30 plus years of industry experience which encompasses a broad range of construction types from industrial, commercial/retail, hospitality, governmental, and residential. He knows that the preconstruction phases of the project will set up the foundation for success and is committed to implementing this process on all the projects he is involved with. In addition, Rudy has previous experience with convenience operations and understands the procedures necessary to deliver the projects on time and on budget.

Karen Poole's Bio
Karen is a Senior Project Manager for dcb Construction Company, where her responsibilities include the management and supervision of construction related projects. She is responsible for timeliness and financial success of a project and oversees all project staff.
Karen has over 30 years of professional experience in construction, management, estimating and sales. She holds licenses and supervisory certificates from several Colorado municipalities. She is a member of the International Code Council and the Colorado Code Council. A few of her specialties include design-build commercial ground-up, renovation and tenant finish.
Karen attended Ferris State University, Michigan. She enjoys spending time with her family and her granddaughters always keep her busy.
Mark Delgado's Bio
Mark started his professional design career as an intern architect in his native San Diego back in 1999. Mark’s passion for the “design” component of dcb’s design-build philosophy has helped make him an invaluable resource to the company. Mark’s primary focus is leading the front end of dcb’s design services, including site due-diligence investigations, design and project visualization, programming and guiding projects through regulatory agencies. Integral to dcb’s design-build mission, Mark works closely with his team to ensure clients’ visions are realized to their fullest potential.
Mark’s professional and educational background in both architecture and urban design have helped him lead a wide range of project types including master planning, large commercial projects, institutional, transit oriented developments, and environmentally controlled self-storage facilities, just to name a few. The diversity of project types helps Mark always maintain an open minded approach to problem solving, particular to each clients’ objectives.
Mark holds a bachelor’s degree in architecture from Woodbury University School of Architecture, and a post-professional master’s degree in architecture and urban design from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation. Mark gets along well with his fellow dcb employees and clients despite being an avid fan of the San Diego Chargers and Padres.
Michael Bray's Bio
Michael Bray, AIA is Director of Design for dcb Construction Company, Inc. He is responsible for the macro management of all design related projects, overseeing the in-house architectural design staff and supporting business development activities. A licensed architect, he has a comprehensive background in the A/E/C industry and in collaborating with owners, developers, consultants and governmental jurisdictions.
With an extensive history of managing all aspects of the architectural process from site selection to building occupation, Mr. Bray has significant experience across a broad and varied range of large-scale commercial, retail and industrial projects. Combining over 30 years of advanced education in the Bachelor of Science degree program at the University of Colorado and senior level positions in nationally recognized architectural firms throughout his career, Mr. Bray’s qualifications include original design work, due diligence studies, building code analysis, quality assurance, on-site construction coordination, and the day to day responsibilities of business side activities.
Growing up in a military family, Michael has traveled and lived in several states and European countries, calling Colorado home since the late 1960’s. In his free time Michael enjoys spending quality time with his family.
