Scope Of Work
Thurgood Marshall Academy, a college-preparatory public charter high school located in the Anacostia neighborhood of Washington, DC, underwent a renovation to its existing 100-year-old, 40,000-sf structure and added a new 30,000-sf adjoining wing. Interior renovations included new structural steel retro-fit, restoration of existing wood flooring, replacement of all windows, new wood trim casing, mechanical, electrical and sprinkler system, state-of-the-art educational science laboratories, a library, cafeteria and associated kitchen. Sitework on the project included a new basketball court, parking lot, loading dock, sidewalks, new storm drain piping, water service, modular retaining walls and perimeter fencing.
