I am currently traveling in Southeast Asia and unlike any other banking institution, I am required to notify them every 30 days as to what country I am in. I notified then 4 days ago that I would be traveling from Vietnam to Cambodia in 2 days...they said no problem it was taken care of....so I arrived in Cambodia and guess what....my debit card does not work. I have been stranded here for 4 days with no access to MY money....luckily I had a few dollars so I could at least but food. And as there is no way to contact anyone on the weekend....they have put me in a dangerous position....I have non refundable tickets to travel to the south on Monday....I will be traveling with no money.....I am very dissappointed in the service I recieved from CBC Federal Credit Union. Thank you so much guys....
They make it a point to get to know their customers. Always great service. Very competitive rates.
Member for many, many years. Staff is amazing. Never once have I received bad customer service. My husband says he feels like some of the people are personal friends he has known them for so long.

My story actually starts a long time ago in November 2005. I was around 22 years old, financing my first vehicle. I was approved for one rate. Which was actually pretty good. When I sat down with the finance lady doing the loan. The payment was quite low I said I wanted to hire payment so I could pay it off my truck faster. She said no problem, it wasn't until about a year into alone I realized what she had done. She had just increased my interest rate. I was blatantly taken advantage of. I highly advise any young person going into this Credit Union be careful. Don't be as naive and trusting as I was.
CBC phone support sufferers the same willful degradation of customer satisfaction as other major merchant goods and service providers — namely, when a customer calls, their automated voice menu system announces the ubiquitous caution that they're "experiencing high call volumes" and your call will be answered in the order it was received << we all know this is BS because what's actually happened is they're intentionally understaffed and unable to provide the quality and timely support their customers should expect.
Anyhow, what happens next is after waiting on hold for 5 to 10 minutes, the call get's routed to a representative who then surreptitiously places your call back in the wait queue without a word. This happens 2-3 times before someone with better customer service morals actually takes your call and tries to help.
This is not merely a once or twice occurrence — it is an intentional and undocumented practice..
