Jenna Poole's Bio
Jenna serves as the company’s Chief Financial and Operating Officer
and manages all aspects of the company’s operational and financial
systems. Jenna is a state licensed CPA and Mortgage Loan Originator,
and also holds a master’s degree in accounting. In 2008, Jenna
graduated with high honors, and was awarded by school faculty as the
“Most Outstanding Accounting Graduate” of her class. Jenna brings
over ten years of financial management experience to the team.
Jenna previously spent six years in public accounting managing
millions in financial statement audits. She then spent four years as a
project manager for a Fortune-10 network and telecommunications
company, where she worked as a business process consultant and team
leader to evaluate and develop technological solutions to complex
business issues there, she implemented systems and automation tools to
streamline business processes, reduce risk, and increase efficiency.
Jenna’s broad range of financial industry and consulting experience
has successfully positioned Mid-South as it has grown and scaled its operations.
Mark Trefny's Bio
Mark serves as the company’s director of construction and is an
active supervisor of all construction projects. Mark’s eye for
customer satisfaction and quality control ensures all customers
continue to refer Mid-South as the best contracting firm around.
Mark’s expertise in the construction field crosses a broad range of
capacities. Since the late 70’s, Mark has both managed and
self-performed contracting work in multiple states throughout the
Southeast US. Mark has overseen and been involved with numerous
construction projects including large-scale commercial concrete
structures such as seawalls and shipyards. Mark has extensive
experience in steel erection, concrete pouring and finishing, and
large commercial & structural contracts. In the residential
market, his experience ranges in scope from both single and
multi-family properties to sea-front three story mansions. In 1995,
Mark moved to Florida to begin a personal venture buying, renovating,
and flipping homes and rental properties. After hurricane Katrina,
Mark traveled to both Louisiana and Mississippi to work on hurricane
repair for several years helping to rebuild his home communities when
they were in need. Currently, Mark employs his management skills to
construct the finest structures in the Central Florida area.
Nathan Poole's Bio
Nathan is a State-Certified General Contractor and acts as the company’s Chief Executive Officer. Nathan’s primary focus is on business development, strategy and project acquisition. Nathan has managed numerous multi-million-dollar commercial projects in both the public and private sector. Nathan has also personally managed 50+ home renovations and investor flips. Nathan holds a master’s degree in management, a Florida State Real Estate Sales License and is an active member of the Orlando Regional Realtor’s Association. Nathan’s general contractor license also qualifies the new Florida branch of the Iowa-based D.W. Zinser Inc., which is the largest demolition and land development contractor in the state of Iowa. D.W. Zinser is the primary provider of land development, site work, and demolition subcontractor services for the Mid-South team. This partnership allows the company direct access to equipment, machinery, personnel, and bonding capacity for land development services in the state of Florida.
Nathan Poole 's Bio
As a third generation contractor, Nathan has been immersed in the world of construction for the vast majority of his life. He started his career as a carpentry subcontractor more than 20 years ago, and is now heavily involved in the day-to-day operations of Mid-South Contractors. He has personally managed over $40 million dollars' worth of construction projects, including investor flips, new multi-family construction, pre-engineered metal buildings, commercial ground-up construction & renovation projects, sports facility construction projects, large-scale civil contracting, and single family homes.
He holds a Bachelor's degree from Southeastern University in Lakeland, FL, as well as a Master's in Management from the University of Central Florida.
Stephanie Porven's Bio
Stephanie’s attention to detail stems from her experience with proofreading and transcribing audio files of depositions, hearings, and criminal court proceedings for the State of Florida for 10 years. As Director of Operations, she is committed to working relentlessly to ensure that all Mid-South team members, vendors, and project owners are communicating efficiently and that all company records are being updated accordingly. In addition to managing office staff and the bid acquisition process, Stephanie is also responsible for streamlining company processes and corresponding with subcontractors, project owners, and prospective clients on a daily basis.
While earning her Bachelor of Arts degree in Creative Writing and Classical Civilization at Florida State University, she developed strong writing and critical reading skills that she continues to apply today while drafting and reviewing subcontracts for residential, commercial, and government projects. Stephanie also holds a Master of Fine Arts in Poetry from the University of Central Florida. While earning her graduate degree at UCF, she strengthened her organizational and communication skills while completing an 80-page thesis and teaching creative writing to over 50 undergraduate students.
