Dan Carlton's Bio
Dan has over 15 years of experience in all facets of the industrial and commercial construction industry in Northern and Central California. Under his leadership, the Mark III team has embraced and executed the “Power of One” Philosophy that focuses on the efficiencies gained by having one team design, install and maintain all core building systems, Infrastructure, Electrical, and Mechanical. The successful execution of this philosophy has resulted in annual revenues exceeding $35 million and fostered Mark III’s ability to hire, growing the company to include over 175 employees. Dan developed his passion and drive for construction when he began working as a pipe fitter for Mark III in 1999. Since then, Dan has excelled in various avenues of the construction environment, completing his bachelor’s degree in construction management from California State University, Sacramento in the process and subsequently in 2007 returned to run the company that first ignited his enthusiasm for the industry many years prior.
John Cassidy's Bio
John Cassidy is the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and oversees all of the company’s financial, risk management and administrative functions. John brings 30 years of financial and accounting experience to the CFO role. He joins Mark III following a distinguished career as the corporate controller at A. Teichert & Son, Inc., an infrastructure and site development contractor. Additionally, John brings financial leadership experience from companies including Perry-Smith & Co. and Ernst & Young.
John takes Mark III’s team oriented spirit to heart, building a successful finance team to support the company’s operations. John earned a Masters of Science in Taxation from Golden Gate University, and his B.A. in Accounting from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Currently John is an active member with CFMA and a coach of a Fair Oak’s girls’ soccer team.
Mike O’Brien's Bio
Since joining the company in 2006, Mike has embraced many roles within the company, from client liaison for multiple design/build projects to Business Development. Currently, Mike manages the pre-construction process—taking a client’s needs from concept to fully detailed design to allow for prefabrication and seamless coordination between the in-house multiple trades. He organizes his design team’s work load and develops new processes and technologies to be progressive in construction’s growing emphasis on detailed coordination and shorter construction windows. He also manages Mark III’s prefabrication shop where he works on increased efficiencies and multiple trade prefabrication components for time and costs savings for the customer.
Mike is a Foundation Board Member of Developmental Disabilities Services Organization, and he serves on the board of directors for the Power Inn Alliance and Region Builders.

Leslie Westmoreland's Bio
Leslie manages the Recruiting, as well as the Training and Development of employees at Mark III. Leslie has over ten years of experience in recruiting and training within the construction industry. She oversees all aspects of talent acquisition; training, planning and retention that coincide with the company’s strategic initiatives and goals. She is also responsible for implementing the training program to ensure growth and development for all of the employees at Mark III Construction. In her downtime she enjoys several outdoor activities, which include hiking, whitewater rafting and playing softball. She has a Bachelor’s Degree from Athens State University in Alabama.
