Handian Construction

If only 10 stars were an option. I have done a lot of buildout . I’ve worked with a lot of contractors and I’m pleased to say I will never work with anyone else EVER again. I’ve been screwed over, lied to, even robbed by previous contractors. I wish I found Mark years ago, it would have saved me thousands of dollars. Not to mention Handian Construction is a one stop shop. To be able to hire one person who does the architectural drawings, MEPs AND construction is unheard of. There have been so many delays on my previous projects because of communication issues with engineers and contractors.

Initially I thought Marks bid for our new cafe came in a little high. This was my first time working with him so I just assumed he was like the rest…plotting and planning hidden fees and change orders,  thinking of secret ways to bump up costs and sneak extra money anyway he could. Because that has happened to me EVERY SINGLE TIME. I have “buildout PTSD” . Not to mention I’m a female. We’re such a easy targets. Not with Handian Construction. Mark has treated me like family since day one.

I will never use another builder.

Not only a great contractor but an overall great person. Knowledgeable, person of his word, time efficient, everything to code. We had a previous contractor who had no idea what they were doing. Mark stepped in to not only right their wrongs but did a complete 180! Approval from all departments now we are up and running. Helpful with design, as well and very creative. Very grateful we went with Handian Construction. Wouldn’t pick anyone else to work with.

It was an absolute pleasure working with Mark and his crew. He is the ultimate professional and very knowledgeable in the construction field.  He helped me build my second restaurant which came out awesome!  I hired him to be my GC but have since become good friends.  Cheers to you, brotha!

Mark and his team at Handian Construction just completed our Restaurant build in Orange County. We have 2 Restaurants side by side with a shared kitchen. Mark was able to help us navigate through all the Health Dept., City Permitting and SBA paperwork. He offered great cost effective ways to the Design. I would highly recommend him and his team for any project. He is very quick to respond and always professional. We are thrilled with the outcome of the Restaurants. Handian Construction designed and built our downtown Long Beach shop. We finished just a hair over budget and within the time frame that we planned. There were a few crazy times on the build out – mostly influenced by the city inspectors but each challenge was met and overcome. Mark and his team are really great to work with they have your back through the process. Restaurant build outs are daunting and it was great to know there was a team with the skills needed, that showed up everyday you expected them too. We worked with Handian Construction on a unique distillery in Downtown Long Beach. Compared to several other General Contractors we have worked with in the past, it was a breeze working with Mark Handian. He was extremely fair and honest to the subcontractors and owner representatives throughout construction. I would highly recommend this firm.

Handian helped construct our new restaurant, AMMATOLI Mediterranean Bites, in downtown Long Beach last year and it was a great success. Handian was professional throughout the process from the beginning of developing the engineering plans to getting the final permits. They were able to capture and implement our intended purpose and design for the restaurant which we had developed and executed it to perfection! Handian’s execution was seamless despite all the complexities and frustrations of a new construction and building a restaurant from scratch, as well as obtaining the permits and going through the numerous inspections. I felt very confident and comfortable working with Mark and his awesome team, they are true professionals, honest and they work with integrity.

I must also mention that Handian’s honor to their warranty is unmatched, they are very responsive, and they respect maintaining a healthy and professional working relationship throughout the process. It’s been a little over 8 months now since we have completed the project and opened AMMATOLI, and I couldn’t be more grateful to had known Mark and his team. Thank you!

I had the pleasure of working with Mark and his entire crew for approximately six months. During the entire process, Mark was always there to answer my phone calls and questions no matter the time of day. This can be a very big endeavor with so many moving parts and Mark made it easy for me and my group to really understand the process step-by-step. Jovig (sorry if I butchered your name) was extremely friendly and made us comfortable when he was available at the project site.

All in all I would highly recommend Mark and his team, just as we were recommended to him. He does amazing work and will put his feet in your shoes to make sure you are within budget.

It is extremely tough to find an honest straight forward person that cares about the outcome of their work. I reached Out to Mark after have talked to dozens of plumbers, electricians, contractors, city and county officials about a stalled project. Mark went out of his way to help me advance and finalize the store. He is very knowledgeable and knows what the city and county look for unlike other contractors that do not specialize in Restaurant build/ construction. Highly Recommended!!!!!! Thank you Mark!

I have worked with Handian Construction now for about 5 years and I have to say one of the best general contractors I’ve ever worked for. Very knowledgeable and him and his staff totally know the process of what it takes to build restaurants, tenant improvements and other major commercial projects. Handian team was very professional. They built our second restaurant.
We are very happy and grateful that we choose Mark and his team. After building our first restaurant with a different contractor that was very disappointing we were so scared to deal with another one but Mark changed our options on contractors. He is such a nice person and humble.
Mark is on top off everything from dealing with the city, permits and all the hustle. He found some mistakes that our architects missed on the planes so we could change them before they start building it. They were very patient with us.
Most important thing is that he gave us a time frame and it was very accurate.
Price was very reasonable too.

Being a first time business owner can be stressful because of all of the unknowns – design, tenant improvement, contractors, build-out etc. When we met Mark, right of the bat he was very easy to talk to. He thoroughly listened to all of our questions and concerns and worked with us to come up with the best and most feasible solutions. He was always pushing to meet deadlines, and pulling strings to get approvals. What I can’t stress enough is timing, it’s amazing how fast the process was without effecting the overall quality. Whenever we encountered a bump in the road, Mark would come up with a quick solution that was within our budget. Mark Handian is a great dedicated contractor. I was a newbie inexperienced and he helped guide me through smoothly from start to finish the built out restaurant.He’s also there whenever we need after the job is done. 5 starts for customer service and professionalism.
