Bubba Huether's Bio
Bubba moved to Fort Myers in 1983 and has been a part of Gulfpoint Construction for over nineteen years. Since joining Gulfpoint, Bubba has proven his abilities as a project manager/project superintendent to deliver projects to clients on schedule, on budget and with extraordinary quality.
His immeasurable experience and understanding of construction go hand in hand when it comes to the completion of numerous multi-million-dollar projects, including a 200,000 square foot high school in Bonita Springs and now constructing a 150,000 square foot multi-use warehouse complex. From the animals he owns, his trusty dog Steeler, to his prize pig Connors, to the outdoors he hunts in;Bubba is one with nature.
His love of the outdoors perfectly aligns with his hands-on project management style. You will always find Bubba in the field lending a hand. As a construction manager and superintendent, those qualities make him very successful, always wanting to take care of nature and to keep the job site environmentally friendly He is focused on his project and never misses an opportunity to take fascinating photos and drone videos. Bubba makes sure the progress of construction runs smoothly and on schedule.
Darlene Huether's Bio
Darlene has been a resident of Lee County since 1983 and founded Gulfpoint in 1985.
Darlene moved to Fort Myers in 1983 with her husband and family to build her career and business. She has a God-given energizing leadership style which has been crucial to the growth and success of the construction administrative experience since the establishment of Gulfpoint Construction.
Her unique and extremely positive attitude energizes the entire office. People love working with her because they can sense that she cares about them. She believes that when you make people feel good about themselves, they go on to accomplish more on their own, and these are the skills that she learned when she became a mom at a young age. An incredibly athletic and active person, Darlene has a history of having completed over 80 successful construction projects over thirty-five years. Nothing can compare to her presence in the office as a person, a coordinator, a mom, and an office administrator.
John Huether's Bio
John has been a resident of Lee County since 1983 and founded Gulfpoint Construction in 1985 and has worked on numerous projects worth over $80 million.
John moved to Fort Myers in 1983 with his family to build his career and business. Prior to moving to Florida, John gained his extensive construction experience and knowledge working under his father’s company for over ten years.
A self-motivated construction entrepreneur, John is a true leader and team player in all operations for Gulfpoint Construction. He is well organized and always thinking ahead and planning for success. John has a unique creation for his construction management process which has proven successful with all Gulfpoint’s clients.
He is very passionate, and his hobbies are fishing and hockey. Activities from which he has taken valuable lessons. Fishing has enabled him to expertly handle both hectic and calm environments, understand the value of an organization, forethought, and the fact that success does not come easy. As a hockey player, he knows how to operate as a team player to achieve goals and deal with surprises and obstacles in the field.
John is not just a leader in the company but also with the community. John has served as head of fundraising foundations including FGCU Foundation for the Construction Management Program preparing graduates to achieve their Bachelor of Science in Construction Management.

Joe Pressler's Bio
Joe, a member of Gulfpoint since March, 2022. He demonstrated abilities to perform the complex duties of cost estimating in the critical,
pre-construction planning process; makes critical decisions; negotiates with vendors and clients; coordinates well with parties to successfully complete projects on time and on budget; and has strong, effective communication, leadership, facilitation, team & interpersonal talents.
Known by others as: "quality, improvement, and results-focused," and has earned a reputation for being: "responsible, dedicated, ethical,
trustworthy, hard-working, and respectful of others."
Rapidly promoted to increased responsibilities based on performance; developed and made numerous contributions to profitability and achieving project goals and business growth.
Joseph Jamison's Bio
Joe joined the team of Gulfpoint Construction in 2019.
As a project coordinator, Joe excels at communication. Working alongside our project managers/project superintendents, Joe is responsible for overseeing specific stages of each project.
He tracks each applicable stage throughout its lifecycle and makes sure that critical information is shared among Gulfpoint’s team members. He is proficient at multitasking under pressure, which makes him a great fit at Gulfpoint. This skill set allows Joe to stay on top of multiple tasks and ensures high-quality results.
Joe is always available to meet the needs of our clients and subcontractors. Outside the office, Joe is a dedicated family man. From the beach to baseball tournaments, Joe enjoys spending time with his wife and two children.
Renée Lafehr's Bio
Renée moved from Michigan to Fort Myers in 1999 and joined the team of Gulfpoint Construction in 2001.
She is the face that has been meeting and greeting our clients and subcontractors for years. Since 2001 Renee has proven to be extremely reliable and demonstrates excellent organizational skills. Renée’s trust, knowledge, and determination allow her the ability to manage daily tasks and work with our clients.
Renée works hand in hand with the project managers/project superintendents to keep all project paperwork running smoothly. When she is not in the office, she can be found with her husband, reading, camping, or training for a half marathon or two! She is the true translation of “Work hard in silence. Let your success make all the noises.”

Amber Huether's Bio
Amber moved to Fort Myers in 2001 and has been a part of Gulfpoint Construction for over nineteen years.
Amber is a unique asset to Gulfpoint Construction, she is a highly organized and detail-oriented manager. Her ability of understanding constitutes her as a devoted and conscientious person for our employees, staff, and our clients. She is committed and dedicated to Gulfpoint’s mission every day.
Amber’s obligation is to meet our client’s needs through accounting, purchasing, contracts, and invoicing. She is passionate about sharing her love of traveling, wildlife, and nature with her husband and two children.
John D. Huether's Bio
JD has been a resident of Fort Myers since 1983 and began working with Gulfpoint Construction in 2002.
JD’s interest in construction began in high school. After playing a few years of minor league baseball with the Minnesota Twins, JD pursued his career and leadership in the construction business. He extended his path in construction passing his Florida Contractor’s test to become a Certified General Contractor in 2011. JD has accrued an immeasurable amount of experience in multi-million-dollar construction projects which includes a 220,000-square-foot high school in Bonita Springs, Florida.
JD enjoys spending time with his wife and two children fishing, family football Sundays, and extending his baseball skills to the community as a coach so athletes may pursue their future. JD has the mental acuity with which to think quickly on his feet, to make accurate and effective decisions, and be a valuable project manager | project superintendent in the field. He always has strong opinions, making him a passionate individual an incredibly important trait in the construction industry. Honesty and integrity are his core values that move every project forward, quickly and smoothly, even with potential hindrances.
Tommy Huether's Bio
Tommy is a native of Fort Myers and during college began working with Gulfpoint Construction in 2005. While in college Tommy met his future wife. After graduation, they married and now have a son. Tommy enjoys the game of golf and time with his family.
Tommy Huether has been significant to the success and growth of Gulfpoint Construction. Tommy brings fifteen years of project management/project superintendent experience and has an in-depth appreciation for the performance and execution of projects. He is compassionate to each project and to the clients he serves. He will always go above and beyond the assignment, he is supervising or managing.
Tommy is dedicated to reaching out and supporting his community. Tommy serves as a committee member for FGCU Athletics Foundations; he is an At-Large member for Horizon Council, an executive board member for the FGCU Construction Management Program Board, a board member and a golf committee member for the Fort Myers Chamber of Commerce.

Mitra joined the Gulfpoint team in 2020. She is dangerously creative, so you must be open to changes to cope with her crazy ideas??. She is a workaholic and loves her job.
