C.W. Gibbs's Bio
I grew up in the Carrollton, Texas area, always working in the family business during school breaks and holidays. After graduating from high school, I attended Oklahoma State University and graduated in May 2001 with a degree in Animal Science and Pre-Vet Medicine. After trying to get into vet school for a couple of years, I decided to return to the family business and help build the already thriving company into something bigger and better through new technology. Upon my Dad’s passing in 2017, I assumed an ownership role and have never looked back. I enjoy the work and take pride in the fact that I am helping home and business owners protect what is most important to them. I enjoy meeting new customers and clients and strive to continue the same service and quality of work my Dad established and has always provided our clients since 1982. In my downtime outside of work, I like to work on projects around the house, which never seem to end. I enjoy working in the yard and playing with my dogs. I have one blind Cocker Spaniel and a Labrador Retriever, both rescue dogs. I like to work on my cars and trucks and make them shine. I enjoy cruising in my Corvette and working on my two project trucks.
Charles Gibbs's Bio
Our founder, Charles “Butch” Gibbs the company in 1980. Butch got his start in the security industry in the 1960’s and after gaining several years of experience with a national company, decided to strike out on his own and start his own business.
From its inception, Customized Fire & Security Services has continued to grow with very little advertising, relying on referrals from satisfied customers, and has become a true family owned and operated business.
Ruth and Butch met and married in Austin, Texas in 1969, and moved to the Dallas area shortly after. Ruth spent many years working in the commercial real estate and property management industry. Upon her retirement from the commercial property world, and as Customized Fire and Security grew, Ruth became the full time office manager handling all of the day to day office operations.
