This product was designed out of my personal experience in a public bathroom. I needed a little solitude to go about my private business.

But I found myself constantly responding to those outside, knocking and testing the door to see if the restroom was occupied. How much better it would have been, for both me and those waiting, if the lock had a clear "in-use" indicator!

Born was Indicator Locks and our all-in-one privacy lock and lever. A simple design to serve a simple need.
