Project Description: The Burrell Mountain Home is a 2000 square-foot, two-story single family residence located in Brevard, NC. It’s origins stem from the homeowners desire to replicate a Norwegian style home with a distinct “U” shape that brings the outdoor courtyard into full view from almost any room in the home. It was also their desire to build something that would fit seamlessly into the natural landscape while complimenting their personal needs and lifestyle. The clean lines and light colors of the interior fill the home with natural light and warmth while the dark color of the exterior makes the home seem to fade into the hillside.
