Dan Flanagan's Bio
As an owner and CSO for BluSky, Dan leads the company’s sales and business development initiatives. He has been with BluSky since 2007, and is currently a part of the Senior Leadership Team.
Dan has a unique background of experience that he has been able to use to benefit BluSky. He led a direct sales organization in the Southwestern Company for seven years early in his career, recruiting and training top teams as well as achieving President’s Club levels in sales every year. Dan then gained valuable experience on the technical side of the restoration industry as an independent adjuster for Eberl Claim Service. There he handled commercial and residential property claims throughout the country as a top producer for five years.
Folding those two industry experiences together was instrumental in Dan’s success as he entered the restoration industry. Before joining BluSky, he led the growth of a regional restoration company, tripling its size during his tenure. Presented with an opportunity to lead the sales and business development at BluSky compelled Dan to join the team in 2007. Since then, his leadership, passion, and disciplined and competitive drive have been a large contributor to BluSky’s growth. With Dan on the leadership team, BluSky has grown from a regional start-up firm to one of the country’s largest national restoration firms.
Dan grew up in Iowa and graduated from the University of Northern Iowa with a Business Administration degree. He and his wife, Naomi, are the parents of five and are very active in their community. Dan has coached football at the youth and high school levels for eight years, serving for two years as head football coach at Valley High School.
Dan strives daily to live up to one of his favorite quotes: “Success is not owned – it is rented, and rent is due every day.”
