Scope Of Work
Island Eye Surgicenter is a state-of-the-art eye surgery center based on 3.5 acres of land in Westbury, Long Island. With a growing consortium of leading ophthalmologists, Island Eye outgrew their current facility just around the corner and tapped Talisen Construction to do the out-of-ground build of this beautiful new 27,000 square foot building. Partnering with Hardaway Sziabowski Architects the project has many unique features:
High end waiting room featuring a fireplace and vaulted ceiling with wooden beams
Sanitation, processing, pharmacy, and six operating rooms
Super insulated building shell, ultra-efficient HVAC systems, low energy lighting, and solar electric panels on the roof.
Island Eye’s new facility ensures a comfortable client experience by maintaining a residential feel for a facility of it’s size. Combining top-notch design, construction, and medical equipment will set Island Eye Surgicenter apart from the rest as a leader in healthcare experience for years to come
