Scope Of Work
The Central Library Annex and Processing Center encompasses all administrative, technical services and automation functions for the DeKalb County Public Library and supports the services of 25 libraries throughout DeKalb County.
The new central annex is a two-story steel structure with 40,000 SF of space to house the library director, branch managers, the main distribution hub, and information technology department. This new facility operates as the main distribution hub for all materials flowing in and out of DeKalb county’s libraries. The annex also stores “out-of-season” materials and provides restoration of media, books, and computers. The building also features loading docks, offices, training and meeting rooms, and personnel to oversee branch libraries and coordinate services.
