Scope Of Work
What vision did have for space how did you help lead/clarify their vision?
The ’ vision was very clear their mind: a place where would gather for coffee fellowship, just a genuinely cool place to be. Beyond that, they had just beyond a blank sheet paper with a few circles squares to represent rough space ideas.
We first met with one saw almost from beginning in an empty shell lease space gathering laughing over an excellent cup coffee. Asking questions as we visited, we could see beyond surface focused first on structure – for soundproofing from honkytonk bar next door to flow guests coming through front door accounting for times day with direct western sun exposure afternoons. All these elements would play a part creating ultimate customer experience need for consideration all aspects, not just where restrooms should must be located color paint on walls.
What is reaction by customers end-users space? How do use it?
It truly is a place peace, pondering laughter. Re:Defined Coffee is constantly busy bustling with – it’s often hard to find a place to park when place is open for !
What we learned on this :
This was a great example fully delivering ’ vision, even if they do not fully understand it themselves. It is our responsibility to help process drawing out what they are trying to say by articulating back to them during the design process, help them see the end from the beginning by trying on different ideas until they say “That’s it, that’s what I’ve been dreaming about.”
The most important thing learned here is that successful are when as a we do “with them” (customer, design , trades) not do “to them”, which happens when we take over the versus taking . losses DNA essence its purpose without all participants called to be process are not heard valued for their individual contributions.
That’s what our namesake, Alliance, is ultimately all about; aligning everyone’s participation, ideas, into a symphony that benefits collective whole.
