Our History

In 1991, Leo M. Sand and another partner combined their more than 50 years of experience to establish Sand Companies, Inc. – an industry leader in construction, property management, and real estate development. After six years of successful growth, Leo became the sole owner of SCI. In 1997, SCI purchased a full service hotel management company and one year later expanded SCI's services into residential property management. As the final step to achieve a fully integrated real estate company, in 2003 SCI hired an experienced architect to provide design build services.

Today, SCI is managed by a strong leadership team and governed by its Shareholders and Board of Directors. With more than 100 completed projects becoming part of the fabric of local communities scattered throughout 13 different states, Sand Companies, Inc. is well-positioned to experience continued success and growth for years to come.
