Scope Of Work

Ten thousand years ago, Middleton’s Discovery Springs area was nothing but a frozen lake. When the ice finally melted and the lake filled in, the property became perfect for new offices, restaurants, and other businesses. However, before the UW Medical Foundation could build on the land, we had to solve one major issue: reinforce the ground to withstand the weight of this 4-story concrete tilt-up office building. We did this by driving 365 concrete filled pipe pilings down 160 feet until they hit bedrock. Stabilizing the ground in this way took a lot of extra time and effort, but it was more than worth it for this award winning building
