Caroline Hornback's Bio
Caroline is a true building professional. As Operations Manager and Chief Quality Officer, Caroline is responsible for the field operations, client relations construction schedules and project cost management at McCauley Constructors. Approaching 15 years in the construction industry as a designer, estimator, project manager and general manager of commercial, residential and multi-family projects, Caroline's innate ability to predict outcomes before a problem arises ensures that McCauley's projects deliver as promised to our clients.
Caroline has a hands-on management style, open communication and the accountability for meeting the operating goals and production standards that McCauley is known for in the industry. Caroline's proven ability to ensure that project costs are managed guarantees the delivery of McCauley's projects on time and within budget. Caroline's leadership in both the business and field operations continues to ensure McCauley's established position in the marketplace.
Caroline received her Bachelors of Science in Interior Design from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Caroline is a licensed Colorado Real Estate Broker, Certified EPA Renovator and an advocate for the Kawasaki Kids Foundation.
Kent S. Campbell's Bio
With nearly 35 years of experience in business operations, accounting and finance, Kent is responsible for maintaining, at the highest level, the business administration, finance, safety and equipment departments at McCauley Constructors.

Kent ensures the accurate financial reporting at both the project and corporate levels through a comprehensive set of controls and procedures established to mitigate risk for both McCauley Constructors, and for its' clients. With the ever-changing landscape and technology in the construction industry, Kent ensures the continued education and training of the McCauley Teams . Kent focuses on building strong relationships with industry experts and the subcontracting community to further the growth of McCauley Constructors.
Kent received his Bachelor of Arts in Accounting from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Kent has served on the board of directors of multiple companies in his career and brings a wealth of business administration and cost management talents to McCauley and its projects.
Leon J. McCauley's Bio
In 2005, and after 16 years in the construction industry in both heavy industrial and commercial/multi-family construction, and having continually been promoted starting his career as a field engineer, to project engineer, superintendent, project manager, senior project manager, estimator, and then Vice President and Principal-in-Charge, Leon had established a solid reputation in the regional construction markets and founded McCauley Constructors Inc. Today, Leon is in his 27th year designing, entitling and building commercial projects through the Rocky Mountain Region of the western U.S.
Leon has successfully completed nearly 500 major construction projects in his career, with the majority as multi-million dollar ventures. Leon personally works one-on-one with clients, creating concept and program designs and cost solutions, along with project development and entitlements through city, county and state level processes. Leon establishes and coordinates the design and development teams for each of his clients, tailored to their individual needs, and oversees all phases of the project to ensure project goals, schedules, budgets and client needs are being met. Leon is committed to assuring that every project that comes through his company is completed with his rigorous quality standards, maximum cost effectiveness and ultimate client satisfaction.
Leon received his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, Colorado. Leon is a certified Class A (unlimited) Contractor with the International Code Council (ICC). Leon is an organizing director of Verus Bank of Commerce in Fort Collins, Colorado, has served on the board of directors of Windsor Charter Academy, and has been acknowledged as an Emerging Entrepreneur in Northern Colorado.

Ken Baumgartner's Bio
Ken Baumgartner brings 30 years of diverse construction experience to McCauley Constructors. With over $2.5 billion of construction volume, and multi-million dollar projects such as Healthcare, Higher education, K-12, Detention, and Municipal projects. Ken’s background, experience and passion for construction, is an exceptional fit for McCauley. Coupled with his commitment to building cohesive teams that work together to solve real world problems, his experience and his attention to detail, is expected to help to continue to escalate McCauley Constructor’s customers satisfaction to the highest level of quality and service while controlling costs and ensuring timely deliveries.
Ken is responsible for managing the Construction and Administrative divisions of McCauley Constructors. This includes all aspects of management, from preconstruction, site development to vertical construction, and oversight of all construction processes. He will capitalize on continued strategic planning and the growth of the company through a focus on continuous improvement and implementation of best practices, and will also support the Development Division on the preconstruction side of those projects.
Prior to joining McCauley Constructors, Ken Baumgartner was with a larger Denver based contractor for the past 21 years, most recently as their Regional Director for Northern Colorado and Wyoming. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Construction Management from University of Southern Colorado, is married to wife Michelle and resides in Windsor, Colorado.
Vince Schauer's Bio
Vince Schauer brings more than 40 years of experience in direct commercial construction management and leadership knowledge to McCauley. He is well-versed in Design-Build and all types of government contracts. He has held positions in the Preconstruction and Operations, serving as the Project Executive on these projects.
Vince’s experience is an invaluable add that supports McCauley Construction’s continued expansion. As Director of Preconstruction, Vince marshals all levels of Preconstruction Design, Estimating, Bidding, Buy out, and Preconstruction performance—including the day-to-day operations and execution. As Vice President, Vince also oversees all construction company functions.
Vince carries the same strong work ethic and business integrity for which McCauley Constructors is known for. He has a unique understanding of the services and solutions to help guide our leadership and delivery team into the future.
Vince graduated from the University of Southern Colorado with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering Technology.

Lesa Shkolnik's Bio
With over two decades of construction industry experience, Lesa is a force within the AEC community. Joining McCauley in early 2019, Lesa is executing all functions of Business Development from the Denver office. Armed with a business administration and marketing degree from the University of Colorado Denver, Lesa has firmly established herself as a connector and opportunity generator within the industry with her diverting spirit and tenacity.
Having moved from many years on the operations side of construction into a development role, Lesa has leveraged her project knowledge and experience to navigate possibilities and find value for clients and teaming partners alike. Currently serving on numerous industry organization committees and business development groups, Lesa’s drive and willingness to enhance her professional knowledge and her recognized high level of participation and involvement within the industry have helped elevate McCauley and her peers within the local market.
Liz Newman's Bio
Liz has 30 years of experience in the Construction field. Liz came to McCauley Constructors having been a multifamily and residential developer in Dallas, Texas. Liz is a Graduate Master Builder and Certified Green Professional. Liz has been recognized by her peers in ‘D Magazine’ as Best Builder in Dallas, as well as being named Dallas’s 2009 Green Builder of the Year.
Building and Development is Liz’s passion, whether it be a multi-use, adaptive reuse, commercial or industrial project; Liz puts her heart and soul into every project. Clients know they will receive outstanding service when meeting Liz. From Land acquisition, Development, Financing/Equity partnerships, Tenant location, and much more, Liz is there to make sure McCauley's client and their business comes first, finding unique ways to complete their design building process with minimal stress.
Over the years Liz has won many awards for community service in support of AEC non-profits. Currently Liz is the Northern Colorado Liasion for the Associated Builders and Contractors Rocky Mountain Chapter and sits on the Construction Advisory Committee for the Boulder Valley School District.

Jennifer Dudley's Bio
Jennifer has over a decade of experience in all aspects of construction accounting and a passion for the niche environment that the construction industry provides. She has been managing the corporate finances and human resources department for 4 years at McCauley. Her positive attitude and dedication to client service and support has made her a valuable asset for both McCauley and its clients. Her management skills have been instrumental in taking on a leadership role to hire, train, and direct all company accounting staff. Her dedication to our team, our clients, and our subcontractors is what motivates her to continually improve quality and consistency along all aspects of our business, all while pursuing practices and processes that grow her team and our company.
As a consummate learner, Jennifer earned her degree in accounting from Mesa University and is currently continuing her education through Colorado State University as well as pursuing the Certified Managerial Accountant certification
