The Blue Book of Building and Construction joins Forces with Quest Solutions to Streamline the Bidding Process

Westchester, N.Y.The Blue Book, in conjunction with its affiliate partner Quest Solutions, has taken another significant stride towards bridging the gap between buyers and sellers in the construction industry.

Beginning immediately, users of BB-Bid, The Blue Book’s FREE, online bid management system, have direct access to a customized version of Quest Takeoff 2.0 directly from BB-Bid.

When general contractors post their plans in the BB-Bid Private Online Plan Room, their invited vendors will be able to quickly and easily transfer documents directly to this customized version  - which has all the take-off functionality of the premiere version, but works exclusively with documents downloaded from plan rooms hosted within BB-Bid.

For contractors and suppliers, this on-screen take-off tool will eliminate time-consuming travel to plan rooms and the expense of ordering plans.  Quest Takeoff 2.0 will enable BB-Bid users to calculate quantities more accurately, which will allow them to prepare more competitive bids.

“The Blue Book is always looking for new and innovative ways to improve communication between buyers and sellers in the construction industry. Allowing BB-Bid Users to complete a digital take-off directly from the plan room, without having to pay for, or order plans will provide them with a definite competitive edge. We are proud to be working with Quest Solutions, a leader in estimating software, “ explained Rich Johnson, General Manager of The Blue Book.

“The integration between Quest’s digital takeoff product and BB-Bid’s plan room users continues to solidify the relationship between Quest and The Blue Book, providing contractors with the highest quality products and services,” said Michael Gillum, Quest’s Director of Research and Development. “The overall goal was to create a seamless online experience for BB-Bid users, to give them the ability to perform detailed digital take-offs.”
