Reports & Itinerary Updates

With updates to change the SOS Stream Tab to the Reports Tab, three more reports have been included within the app. You now have access to the Network Activity Report, New to the Game Reports, and the BidScope Trials Reports, directly from BizDevConnect. The Reports Tab includes the Hot List and Email Opens that were previously in the SOS Stream Tab. Updates were also made to the Email Opens to immediately indicate whether a reader of an email is either a customer or a prospect.

Slight modifications have also been made to the Itinerary Tab (formerly, Today Tab). Instead of only being able to see events for the given day, you’ll now be able to see events for the current week, the following week, as well as the week after that. This should be a great time-span to see what is upcoming in your schedule in order to plan accordingly. The same changes have also be made to readily indicate whether an account is a customer or prospect in this view too.

Finally, plenty of changes were made under the hood to improve and tweak things, one of which was to add the ability of choosing a reason when creating appointments and walk-ins from the app. This was great recommendation because it allows the information generated on your Itinerary to be that much more accurate from the app and still keeps this source of input as easy-to-use.

Google Calendar Syncing

With Google Calendar Syncing, you can now add appointments from directly into your Itinerary like before, but that information will also be propagated to the Google Calendar for your BDC email as well. If you then update the event, this too will be sent to Google Calendar, and the information will be updated as well. As long as the modifications are made from the BizDevConnect mobile application or your SOS, Google Calendar will remain in sync.

Updates were also made to the Today’s Itinerary View to allow you to dig deeper into appointments and walk-ins. You can down review the details, get access to the contact detail page, get directions, as well as view the time and notes for the event, if applicable. You’ll still be given the capability to mark the event as Done or Active, but the additional features of editing or deleting have been added too.

Today’s Intinerary / Hot List / Network Search

With Today’s Itinerary View added as the new landing page of the application, you’ll now be able to quickly see your Call List, Appointments, and Walk-Ins for the day. If you dial from the app, an active Call List item will be marked as Done for you. You are also able to mark appointments and walk-ins as Done as well.

Your Hot List has also been added with the SOS Stream tab of the application. From here, you’ll be able to view your targeted list for the week and immediately call, email, or get directions for them. You’ll also be able to dive deeper to their normal contact detail screen from here as well.

The Network Search is a great feature for discovering whether a company is in our network or who owns them if they already are. From this tab you may enter in a phone number, an email, the beginning of the company name, a state, or a combination of these fields to find who you are looking for. The results from the search will show you the company name, company address, and the BDC that owns the account. If the user of the app owns the account, you’ll be able to call the company from the results page or dive deeper into their contact detail screen, given they have the appropriate account status to be on your phone. You will also see a button to immediately get directions to that company.
