(OR) Oregon Constr. Contrs. Board - The Construction Contractors Board (CCB) is a State agency that protects consumers by regulating construction contracting businesses. Oregon law requires that all types of contractors who perform work on residential and nonresidential structures in Oregon be licensed with the CCB. The CCB accepts workmanship (and other) complaints against licensed contractors, usually responding to these complaints (called "claims") with informal on-site investigation/mediation and, when necessary, more formal adjudication very similar to a court.
(TX) Texas Dept. Of Licensing & Regs. - The Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation is the state's umbrella occupational regulatory agency, responsible for the regulation of 22 occupations and industries.
