Thompson Millwork

Matt Thompson opened Thompson Millwork in 2013. The original intent was to provide general contractors and homeowners in the Durham area with old-house expertise and problem solving. Early projects included historic window rehabilitation/fabrication, molding and door replication, and custom built-ins. As the company has grown from a one-man operation, so has the intent. Through a series of mergers and acquisitions, Thompson Millwork is growing rapidly while preserving the legacy of several longstanding regional woodworking businesses.  We now offer turnkey commercial millwork services, including plastic laminate and solid wood casework and custom millwork for higher education, healthcare, retail, and office clients. We continue to offer historic preservation services including double-hung wood window restoration and antique moulding/trim replication. In addition, we are an authorized distributor of Thermory heat-treated decking and siding products.
