Chris McMahon, CEO and President of ACD, had his humble beginnings in the concrete industry in the early 80’s. Although working predominately on commercial, structural projects in the East, an assignment in San Francisco introduced him for the first time to decorative concrete. It quickly became his passion and the focus of his life’s work. In 1993, he incorporated and began the journey which has led to Architectural Concrete Design.

Over the last two decades, the company has evolved from its original three man crew. The firm has grown into a group of over 60 specialists including craftsmen, designers, customer service personnel and management staff.

It is with much passion and enthusiasm that we begin our third decade. As we begin 2014, we continue to expand our work profile within the decorative concrete arena to now include stamped, interior acid stained, broomed and stamped overlays, exposed aggregate, decorative integral colored concrete, and polished concrete throughout the Mid-Atlantic area from D.C up to Northern NJ.
