Scope Of Work
The Springdale Park Elementary project consisted of a new 37,500 SF, three-story building built on the existing campus of Springdale Park Elementary. The newly finished project includes fourteen new classrooms, a gymnasium and renovation to some existing spaces in the original school. This included expanding the cafeteria to accommodate a larger seating and re-purposing of two classrooms.
This project was highly complex and required special consideration due to the closeness to the existing school. At certain locations, the project footprint was just five feet from the property line. Safety played a big role in this new construction to not only protect both students and workers.
On the outside of the newly constructed building, both the courtyard and the existing field received synthetic turf. A new secured covered bridge joining the two buildings was added providing traveling students a protected walkway between classes.
