Douglas A. Hoeksema is the President, CEO and founding Managing Member of Douglas Partners, LLC.
During his twenty (20+) year tenure in the multifamily industry, Mr. Hoeksema’s team has been involved in various aspects of the conceptualization, planning, financing, entitlement, design, development and construction of multifamily developments throughout the state of Florida. These multifamily developments have included a wide variety of apartment, townhome and condominium developments. In addition, Mr. Hoeksema and his team have been responsible for such diverse projects as a 70-acre Development of Regional Impact, mixed-use, planned development in the Disney area and the design and development of new niche products, such as the first direct entry attached garage product in the market and the first four (4) bedroom garden and townhome units in the market. Mr. Hoeksema’s team was responsible for the development of a high rise multifamily development known as The Alexan at Coral Gables, consisting of a 15-story building, together with an adjoining 5-story parking garage, which is located in the Coral Gables area of South Florida. The Douglas Grand at Winter park represents another highly acclaimed niche product situated in the heart of the charming and renowned City of Winter Park.
Prior to founding Douglas Partners, Mr. Hoeksema was a Group Managing Partner for Trammell Crow Residential for the state of Florida. While at TCR, Mr. Hoeksema was a member of the Board of Directors and a member of the Operating Committee which had operational responsibility for the overall Trammell Crow Residential Organization.
Mr. Hoeksema graduated with Highest Honors from Washington University Law School and received a Business Administration degree with a minor in Economics, Summa Cum Laude, from the University of Missouri. Mr. Hoeksema is a member of the Urban Land Institute, the American Bar Association and the Florida Bar Association.
