Douglas Partners was founded by Managing Member, Douglas A. Hoeksema, in February 2003. He was joined by a team of individuals with a great deal of residential construction and development experience throughout the state of Florida. Shortly after commencing operations in 2003, Douglas Partners utilized the experience and skill of their team to plan and conceive a large, ultra luxury development known as the Douglas Grand at MetroWest. Valued at nearly $70 million dollars, the Douglas Grand at MetroWest has 398 luxurious townhome and apartment units, together with resort style amenities, and was constructed on the most sought after sites at the time in the Orlando area. Douglas Partners followed-up on this early success by commencing construction on The Douglas Grand Sarasota, a $47 million, 240-unit luxury development, situated off of University Parkway in one of the most rapidly growing areas of the Sarasota/Manatee MSA. Next the team moved on to develop the Douglas Grand at Winter Park, a luxurious mixed-use residential condominium and commercial development consisting of 45,000 square feet of commercial space and 42 ultra high end residences. The Douglas Grand at Winter Park is situated in the heart of downtown Winter Park and features historic, brownstone style architecture.
