If you’re curious about why we are still around after three decades, you’ve come to the right place. Miami Valley Contractors started in 1982 with founder Ken Worley’s vision of creating his own company. His time at Milacron as a mechanical engineer sparked his love of heavy equipment. (Check out the photo below of the last machine he helped create-a 5 axis profiler.) His business would be excavating. What could be better than doing what you love and getting paid for it?

Passion is how we’ve managed to continue to serve the Tri-State for over 30 years. It started with basic hauling services with a used dump truck. Below is a photo showing the first backhoe used to start the fleet. Over time the fleet grew. Larger jobs became more prevalent requiring the purchase of additional equipment (the photos below show that equipment). Jobs ranged from land clearing and ponds for residential clients to large commercial projects for well-known businesses like the Cincinnati Zoo and Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Starting with a simple dump truck, he managed to build a strong business with a diverse fleet of equipment.
