Scope Of Work
This new LEED Silver project involved the design and construction of a new fire-rescue station serving over 40,000 residents. The new fire-rescue station was necessary in this area due to present and future population density and development. The new facility boasts four 20 by 80 foot drive-through apparatus bays and support spaces including dormitory area, kitchen and dining room, exercise room, a multi-use lounge, training room and several administrative offices.
The fire station features a 44-foot high stair tower for training purposes with a curved panel on the east side. An arching 35-foot high standing seam metal roof curves over the four apparatus bays. The living, administrative and support areas are covered by approximately 9,000 square feet of flat roof which is covered by vegetation.
