Scope Of Work
The Loudoun County Transit Maintenance & Operations Center is comprised of two separate but related buildings including two separate parking lots. The Administration building is one-story and approximately 6,994 SF. This building contains HVAC and electrical rooms, main information technology room, offices, conference room, bus driver waiting/ready rooms, restrooms, showers and locker rooms. There is a movable partition in this building as well as standard office finishes.
The Bus Maintenance building is approximately 20,309 SF. This building has five bays for commuter bus maintenance, drive-through bus wash and detail bay, tire room, parts counter, storage room, administrative offices, reclaim room, lube/compressor room, work bench areas, electrical, information technology and HVAC rooms and mezzanine.
On-site parking includes a lot for 88 commuter buses as well as a separate employee vehicle parking lot. This project utilizes ground source heat pumps and geothermal wells, solar thermal (hot water) and is certified LEED Silver.
