As a woman-owned and operated business, Falcon Green Resources, Inc. strives to conserve our natural resources, and to eliminate the "waste" in waste.

Founded in 1997 by Don and Kathy, we became the first asphalt shingle recycler in the state of Illinois after Kathy attended a Shingle Recycling Forum to learn how to keep this reusable product out of the landfill.

Statewide recognition for our recycling efforts

In 2000, we were awarded a grant from the Illinois Department of Commerce and Community Affairs to put toward the purchase a grinder used to process shingles. Since then, we've earned the attention of Illinois state senators and the governor in an effort to promote the recycling of asphalt roofing shingles.

We have published articles in LEED and C&D recycling magazines, and we received the Outstanding Leadership in Business Recycling Award from the Illinois Recycling Association.

Steady growth over the last 18 years

We started with a small, F-800 roll-off truck and only a few 10 yard dumpsters. Since then we have expanded our fleet of trucks with larger Mack trucks capable of hauling the larger 20 and 30 cubic yard dumpsters.
