About Our Founder
Our Texas based paving company was started by none other than Jack Wheeler who has over 30 years of experience in the field. Jack started his own company Wheeler Coatings in 1982 which he developed to be one of the most respected asphalt paving companies in Central Texas before selling it to the APAC group in 2009.

Jack started Lone Star Paving with the ambition to develop a company that can satisfy the growing needs of highway construction while also maintaining crews dedicated to paving commercial and multifamily projects. What made Jack Wheeler successful at Wheeler Coatings is still very much alive at Lone Star Paving: integrity, dedication and passion are the driving principles of the company.

Our Experienced Crew
Currently Lone Star Paving serves its market with two strategically located asphalt plants in Austin and Spicewood. Its capabilities include a labor force comprised of 297 employees and thirteen large paving crews between the Austin and San Antonio areas. Each location also runs a maintenance division responsible for parking lot repairs, sealcoat and striping projects.

We also manage three smaller crews which complete a variety of maintenance projects such as asphalt repairs, concrete repairs, sealcoating, crack sealing, and striping .The versatility of their crews allows Lone Star Paving to complete all types of project, no matter how large or small, with the same degree of efficiency.
